You can swim immediately after application. Your eyes won’t burn...and you won’t believe how good your skin and hair feel after swimming!
And it’s easy! PristineBlue®’s long-lasting formula lets you escape the chore of daily water testing and maintenance.
In swimming pools and spas, many people don’t like the chemical odor and taste of chlorinated water, not to mention its bleaching effect on swimwear. Special precautions must be taken to transport, handle and store chlorine safely. And those are just the minor complaints!
Chlorine can shorten the life of equipment and vinyl liners. It dissipates quickly and therefore requires vigilant testing and maintenance. Swimmers can develop reactions to chloramines, which are chlorine by-products, ranging from skin irritation to respiratory problems. Some research studies have even linked chlorine use in indoor pools to asthma!
Chlorine-free "alternative" products like PristineBlue® offer many solutions to the problems of chlorine. While protecting against bacteria and algae, they are non-bleaching and safer to store and handle. They are more gentle to equipment, eyes and skin. Many, like PristineBlue®, are odorless and tasteless.
Most important, however, is the reduced maintenance chlorine alternatives can offer. Instead of testing and adding chlorine several times a week or even daily, alternative products require attention just once a week or once every two weeks.
When considering no-chlorine in your pool or spa, look for products that are EPA registered. Products that bear an EPA registration number have undergone extensive third-party testing to prove their effectiveness. Also, try to find out how long the product has been on the market. Pool ProductsQuality brands stand the test of the time, while inferior ones often fail in two to three years.
"To chlorine or not to chlorine?" is a good question. Ask your friends, neighbors and co-workers about their experiences with chlorine and chlorine free alternatives.
